Hawks View Winery

We ventured up to this gorgeous view site after a referral from our friend Marlene Grant.  Their winery is appropriately named.  There are beautiful views, about 180 degrees, of valley and hills.  Their grounds are beautiful and comfortable with plenty of tables.

2017 Pinot Gris

Light straw color

Gorgeous fruit aromas of pear and apple with a slight perfume of floral notes.

Tight acidity with nice fruit . .Very refreshing

A cold, slow fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tank to unlock attractive aromas of pear, quince and apple pie, while retaining the grape’s native acidity. Whether, at the dinner table or in the back yard, Pinot Gris is best enjoyed chilled with good friends!”

Would make a great porch wine

2017 Cellar Series – White Pinot Noir

Very light pink, almost leaning to orange, due to 90 minutes of skin contact

Gorgeous bright nose of red fruit

Very light fruit flavors on palate and moderate acidity

2017 Carbonic Pinot Noir

Whole cluster fermentation . . . Very light ruby in color

Bright cherry on the nose

Light and bright on the palate as well.  Very soft and refreshing, though no fruit prominent.

2015 Hawks View Pinot Noir

Loads of strawberry and cherry on the nose

Satiny soft mid palate with great fruit flavors.  Really well balanced

Medium bodied with notes of bing cherry, cola and baking spice. Medium acid, soft tannins and an uplifting finish. Our most popular example of an elegant Pinot Noir. Enjoy with roast chicken, ham & chocolate. Oregon in a glass!”

2016 Cellar Series Oregon Pinot Noir

Dark garnet in color

Nice dark fruit aromas with chocolate

Satiny mid – Great melding of plentiful fruit

Christmas spice, chocolate, and coffee with a little vanilla on the nose is met with plentiful dark fruit, blueberry and juicy dark blackberry on the palate. Deep garnet burgundy in color. Lively, rich fruit and spice lead into a rich, long finish in this very approachable and elegant wine. Drink now!”

2016 Cellar Series California Pinot Noir

Bright and warm on the nose

Gorgeous ripe fruit. . both red and dark.

Opens up to a full spectrum of fruit and warmth

Candied orange peel, light bright red fruit, strawberry and cranberry notes are met with a complexity of smoke and cherry. Very ripe strawberry & brown sugar on the palate with long length that is silky and elegant.”

A beautiful location and some really nice wines.  This is one you may want to put on your list.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][dt_fancy_title title=”Photo Gallery” title_align=”left” title_size=”h3″ title_color=”accent”][vc_media_grid element_width=”2″ grid_id=”vc_gid:1557768030798-bceae0c2-24a7-6″ include=”15610,15389″ css=”.vc_custom_1557768008611{margin-top: 30px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
